![]() In order to power off the machine you need to physically press the power button, just like on any other android device. I think my old 4:3 screen is at fault, but similar thing was encountered in Antutu: it only works in fullscreen mode, and most raster assets (icons/images) are taken from a low-res package. App store is only partially scaled to my screen size and some dialogues fall back to 800x480 size. There are some problems with app scaling. Kodi, on the other hand, failed to recognize my native resolution(1280x1024 native, 1300-something x 1100-something detected), which caused some serious issues with mouse navigation. The desktop itself is clean and kinda resembles LXDE, but the notification panel is clearly an attempt at replicating Win10 notification area. Overall the OS feels snappy (almost like running linux with LXDM). The second 3D benchmark failed to start (not supported), so I'm not 100% sure if this score means anything.īTW, RemixOS uses Gallium 0.4 by default for my Radeon HD7480D, so some OpenGL features may not be implemented or supported yet. Installed Antutu and Kodi to test media performance.Īntutu ran fine and gave me a total score of ~200K. ![]() Some graphics/color/scaling issues, but those are probably related to the VGA driver, and not the OS itself. I can drag, but simple cursor movement is not doing anything. Mouse for some reason does not work properly. Respect.Just downloaded the thing and tried on both of my rigs. You're a great developer and you follow through with the users of your builds. Thank you so much for your relentless support. boot to system to check everything went fine install the disable dm-verity file (then wipe cache) The secret was in your last response: to format the Data/ partition! For future reference we need to specify that the process is in that order: ![]() Man I've got root! Yee - haaa! Been working on it for 5 days. I'll let you know how that worked tonight or tomorrow. ![]() But in means I'll then have to place the dm-verity file on a otg usb drive - I hope it'll work OK.Īll I am trying to achieve is to get my Android rooted. So I will need to retry and format partition then. I did see some logs in twrp mentioning 'unable to mount partition'. You can place files on internal storage, external sdcard or USB memory stick and switch storage in TWRP. Custom ROMs already come with dm-verity disabled. That's only needed if you're planning on using stock ROM and want to modify it somehow (root, etc). What are you trying to achieve in the end? If you're planning to install a custom ROM (CM12.1/RemixOS) you can just skip the dm-verity patch. There's different CM12.1/RemixOS compatibility patches for different HQ64 batches, though.ĭo you see any errors when booting into TWRP? If there's some errors about mounting partitions, you need to format /data partition first (also erases internal storage). HQ64 TWRP works in all Hi10 Pro HQ64 devices(?) regardless of serial number I've been told. I will write later the procedure of what I am doing, you might find an error there. Hi10 Pro - z8350 - serial no HQ64G42170100001-HQ64G42170300000 - TWRP flashableĪs I mentioned before, it doesn't look like my tablet's serial number (HQ64G42170604104) matches any of your TWRP files, or does it? I use the following stock image from the Chuwi forum, and it works absolutely fine until I try to twrp it
